Prior to founding Expert Meetings & Events, Elaina Veveakis was an award-winning hotelier for fifteen years.
Elaina started her career at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts where she climbed the ranks, ultimately earning a nod for Manager of the Year at The Grand Hyatt New York. From there she moved on to spend seven years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where as Director of National Accounts, she earned the elite status of “Pinnacle Golden Circle Achiever” and was chosen to be a Certified Speaker on behalf of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center.
Elaina left The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2012, holding the record for highest sales incentive earned in the history of the company. Most recently, Elaina was Director of Global Sales for Morgans Hotel Group where she oversaw the highest producing accounts on behalf of the esteemed lifestyle brand.
Throughout her career, Elaina has specialized in the group segment of the hospitality business working with clients all over the world. From leisure groups to Fortune 500 companies, Diplomatic groups to professional sports teams, Elaina has truly done it all – and is truly best of the best.
A native New Yorker, Elaina now lives in Maryland with her husband, Robert, and their two daughters, Alexa and Alivia. In her free time, you will find her biking along the harbor, enjoying nights on the town with her husband and friends, having elaborate tea parties with her daughters or spending time reading, cooking or planning a family adventure.
Elaina has been flattered and amazed by all of the opportunity that has come her way – a true testament to her reputation and experience in the industry. It was all of her past successes, the fire in her belly, and her vision to bridge the gap between clients and hotels that EXPERT MEETINGS & EVENTS was born.
